What we collect, why, and how to make us stop. Last updated August 2026.

who we are

Chase’s Ice Cream is operated by Chase Holdren LLC, 200 Rhodes Avenue, Akron OH 44302.

what we collect

Only what you type, plus the minimum needed to stop abuse:

  • Newsletter signup: your email address.
  • Flavor suggestion: the flavor name and description, and — only if you fill them in — your name and email address.
  • With either form: the page you submitted from, your browser’s user-agent string, and a salted, irreversible hash of your IP address.

We do not store your raw IP address. We keep a SHA-256 hash of it combined with a secret salt, which is enough to count how many submissions came from one source and not enough to work backwards to the address.

why we collect it

Your email address is used to tell you about new flavors and the store launch, and for nothing else. The hashed IP, user-agent and referrer exist to rate-limit the forms so they cannot be flooded by bots.

We do not sell, rent, or share any of it with advertisers. We do not run ad-tracking pixels.

how to get off the list

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately — one click, then one confirmation button. You can also write to us and we will do it by hand.

To have your suggestion or your record deleted outright rather than just unsubscribed, ask us and we will remove it.

who else sees it

The database is hosted by Supabase. The site is hosted by Vercel, whose analytics we use in its cookieless mode — it records page views, not people, and sets no tracking cookie. Rate limiting uses Upstash. Each of these processes data on our behalf and under their own terms.

cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own, and there is no login, no cart, and no advertising network on it.

asking us anything

Questions, corrections and deletion requests all go to the same place — reach us through the links in the footer, or by post at the address above.
